- 18 - 21 yrs. continues to be top performer and also the most sought after teacher at Shaolin.
- 18 yrs. Wang DeQing became known as the best at Shaolin in all of Henan province, becomes a warrior monk and receives his monk name, Shi Xing Hong, from the temple's leaders.
- At 12 years old Wang DeQing and 2 other boys are selected out of the remaining 50 to enter the temple gates to join 13 others to form the Shaolin Temple Martial Arts Team and became novice monks.
- 1983...at the age of 9 he entered a government run school with coaches from Shaolin Temple joining 800 other young children to complete a 3 year training program.
